The workstation consists of a thermostated chamber, which can maintain the inside temperature of 23°C ± 2°C with an accuracy of ± 0.5°C.
To measure energy efficiency, household cooking appliances are placed inside the chamber. The chamber turns on and maintains the set temperature conditions within the test volume. The chamber is equipped with six independent 4kW power sources to provide separate supply of devices under test. The chamber includes measuring equipment that allows to measure power consumption of the household electrical appliances, consumption in standby and operation modes, temperature inside and on the body of the product under test with accuracy better than 0.1%. Air circulation in the chamber is created by two centrifugal fans. The air flow is directed vertically through the chamber space.
Cooling in the chamber is realized by means of a compressor and a condenser unit. Chamber heating is achieved by recirculating of cold air through electrical heating elements.
The chamber made of heat-insulating panels, which are joint together and additionally sealed with silicone adhesive. The chamber is equipped with a ventilation and lighting system. Control cabinet of the chamber is located separately in the operator’s room and connected to a personal computer via Ethernet. The chamber is powered by 400V 50 Hz three-phase network. Power consumption of the chamber is not more than 40 kVA. The chamber is equipped with sliding double-leaf doors with dimensions of 2100×1900 mm (the door dimensions may be different at the customer request).
Fully automated workstation allows automatically measure all energy efficiency parameters of cooking appliances and generate reports and protocols in accordance with the chosen measurement program.
The software is written on LabView and has many convenient functions for control, monitoring and analyzing the equipment under test.
